Not to be confused with 'max sockets' mentioned below which are sometimes less than, sometimes equal to the inherent maximum number of sockets.
In what follows, when I say the 'inherent maximum number of sockets' I mean the overall maximum sockets for the base item ('Sockets' the Arreat Summit).
Use an appropriate Horadric Cube recipe on an unsocketed item ("cube socketing") or a magic/rare item ("rerolling" to have a chance at a socket prefix). Use the Larzuk quest reward on an unsocketed item. Q: What items can be socketed and how do I get sockets in an item ?Ī: Any of the following items are socketable, The Arreat Summit is the place to go if you just want to know the very basics of socketed items, Basics and Rules of Sockets and Socketing I am not infallible, so feel free to notify me of errors or inconsistencies on topic so that they can be dealt with. I am still messing around with it with no success as of yet.The guide is divided into 3 sections, dealing with basics and rules of sockets and socketing, socketing at Larzuk, and Horadric Cube socketing recipes (including socketing odds).Īlthough I have tried to carefully explain every single detail by means of questions, answers, and notes, just ask if something still appears unclear to you once you have read the guide. and thank you for your continued assistance on my problems. Sorry for my lack of clarity on what I was trying to do. but that also seems to be a waste of space and lack of efficiency for the same thing. I suppose I could make 8 recipes one for each socket amount with increased numbers of items that would be required. if it randomly chooses to have less than 5 sockets it will crash the game. but you can get 6 or more sockets out of the item. so I would have an item with no sockets, then it would receive 1 socket, then 2 sockets, 3, 4, and so on.Īlso the random amount for the socket works fine but if you place items into it after it receives sockets we will say it has five and you fill it up. so that I would have accumulative sockets the more the recipe was used. What I was really hoping to accomplish was to have it add one socket each time I use the recipes on the same item. those work for me, and ive tried the param at 1. Yea, ive got some stuff like that to work where ive got the imput1 to be armo and imput 2 to be skz, with output useitem with mod1 on sock, with min 1 and max 8.
